PM Modi Praises Musician Ramesh Vinayakams Innovative Notation System in Chennai

Chennai, April 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met renowned musician Ramesh Vinayakam and his family during his campaign visit to Chennai on Saturday. He commended their efforts to promote Indian music on a global platform. This information was shared by PM Modi through a post on the social media platform ‘X’.

In his post, PM Modi stated, “During my election campaign, I had the opportunity to meet Ramesh Vinayakam and his family in Chennai. Ramesh Vinayakam is a musician who has dedicated his entire life to popularizing Indian music. He showed me a glimpse of his work on the ‘Gamak Box Notation System,’ which is an incredibly innovative way to bring Indian music to the world.”

The Gamak Box Notation System is a visual notation technique that aids in understanding and teaching the subtle embellishments of Indian music. The term ‘Gamak’ refers to singing a note by oscillating, bending, or ornamenting it rather than singing it directly.

Ramesh Vinayakam is a well-known Indian musician, singer, songwriter, and music researcher, primarily recognized for his work in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. He wrote and composed his first song at the age of 12, with his father, Mr. Vinayakam, being his first guru.

As part of his election itinerary, PM Modi is also scheduled to visit Kerala. According to his agenda, he will arrive at Thiruvananthapuram Airport around 2:30 PM. Following this, he will take a helicopter to the NS College grounds in Changanassery, Kottayam district, where he is expected to arrive by 3 PM.

From there, the Prime Minister will travel by road to participate in a public rally at the stadium in Tiruvalla. Senior party leaders and NDA candidates from surrounding areas are likely to attend this rally.

After the rally, PM Modi will return to Thiruvananthapuram, where he will conduct a roadshow approximately 1.5 kilometers long from Killi Palam to Karamana Junction in the evening. A large number of party workers and supporters are expected to join this event.

The Prime Minister will also meet with district-level NDA candidates. According to the schedule, he is set to depart for Delhi around 7 PM.

Voting in Kerala is scheduled for April 9, with the counting of votes taking place on May 4.
