New Delhi, April 21: On the occasion of Adi Guru Shankaracharya Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the revered spiritual leader and reflected on his contributions. He stated that Adi Shankaracharya is one of India’s greatest spiritual gurus, whose wisdom and teachings inspire us to pursue truth, compassion, and collective welfare.
In a post on his social media account, X, PM Modi shared a photo and remarked, “The profound teachings, thoughts, and philosophy of Advaita Vedanta by Adi Guru Shankaracharya illuminate the path for countless individuals worldwide. He emphasized harmony, discipline, and the unity of all existence. His efforts to revive spiritual thoughts and establish spiritual centers across the nation will always serve as an inspiration.”
PM Modi further expressed, “May the knowledge and teachings of Adi Guru Shankaracharya continually enlighten our path and strengthen our resolve towards truth, compassion, and collective welfare.”
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also paid homage to Adi Guru Shankaracharya on this auspicious day, recalling his teachings. He posted on social media, “On the Jayanti of the proponent of Advaita Vedanta, the architect of cultural unity, and a great philosopher and creator, I bow to Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya. He revived Sanatan Dharma by establishing sacred monasteries in all four directions of India. His life, dedicated to public welfare and truth, will always inspire us.”
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis remembered Adi Guru Shankaracharya, posting a picture on his social media account with the message, “My respects to the great spiritual guru and philosopher, Jagadguru Shri Adi Shankaracharya on his Jayanti!”
