Mamata Banerjee Faces Criticism Over Security Concerns as Political Climate Shifts in Bengal

Kolkata, April 21: In a recent statement, BJP candidate Sajjal Ghosh from Baranagar criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her remarks regarding external authorities. He questioned, “Whose security is not being ensured? We raise our voices for security. Since when has Mamata Banerjee started speaking about security? Is she not safe herself? The winds are changing in Bengal.”

Regarding the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill, he stated that the BJP aims to provide 33% reservation for women, emphasizing that the party seeks to unite everyone.

BJP candidate Agnimitra Paul from Asansol expressed confidence in her victory in the upcoming first phase of elections on the 23rd. She accused Mamata Banerjee of misleading the public on job issues and the I-PAC matter.

In response to Chief Minister Yogi’s statements about Bengal, Delhi’s Rekha Gupta advised Mamata Banerjee during a press interaction in Kolkata. She suggested that Banerjee should focus on her election campaign, as she is losing ground. “She should not worry about what others are saying but should listen carefully to what the public is saying,” Gupta added.

BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal remarked that the significant support for the Prime Minister today is largely due to women. “Our commitment is to ensure development for all, and we are determined to enhance women’s political participation in this country,” he stated.

Humayun Kabir, founder of AJAYUP and candidate from Hijol, expressed his belief that when the results are announced on May 4, no party will reach the majority mark.
