New Delhi, June 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a powerful message on the social media platform ‘X’ on Tuesday, highlighting the importance of determination and self-control.
In his post, PM Modi stated, “Determination and self-control are the forces that make even the toughest paths easier. Today, our young compatriots are continuously engaged in nation-building with this resolve.”
He also shared a Sanskrit verse: “निश्चित्य यः प्रक्रमते नान्तर्वसति कर्मणः. अबन्ध्यकालो वश्यात्मा स वै पण्डित उच्यते॥”
The translation of this verse in Hindi conveys, “A person who thoughtfully begins a task with firm determination, who does not leave it unfinished, makes good use of time, and has complete control over their senses, is truly wise.”
Additionally, on Monday, June 1, PM Modi had shared insights about compound verbs on social media. He explained that a compound verb means transferring or adding the quality of one word to another. He emphasized that only those who possess both qualities should fulfill the responsibilities of a teacher with dedication and accountability.
He shared another Sanskrit verse: “श्लिष्टा क्रिया कस्यचिदात्मसंस्था सङ्क्रान्तिरन्यस्य विशेषयुक्ता . यस्योभयं साधु स शिक्षकाणां धुरि प्रतिष्ठापयितव्य एव..”
The meaning of this verse suggests that while some individuals excel at performing tasks, others are particularly skilled at imparting knowledge or skills to others. Those who possess both expertise and the ability to teach should be placed at the forefront of the best educators.
