
New Delhi, March 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt congratulations to Anutin Charnvirakul on his election as Thailand’s Prime Minister on Friday.
Modi expressed a strong interest in collaborating with Thai leadership to further enhance the India-Thailand strategic partnership. He emphasized that the relationship between the two nations is rooted in shared civilizational heritage, close cultural ties, and vibrant people-to-people connections.
He also noted that India and Thailand stand united in their shared aspirations for peace, progress, and prosperity for their respective peoples. On the social media platform X, Modi wrote, “Congratulations to Anutin Charnvirakul on his election as Prime Minister of Thailand. I look forward to working together to strengthen our multifaceted strategic partnership.”
Modi reiterated that the relationship is built on shared civilizational heritage, close cultural connections, and lively interactions between the people of both countries.
Anutin Charnvirakul, Thailand’s newly elected Prime Minister, received his early education at Assumption College in Bangkok. He continued his studies at Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, USA. In 1989, he graduated with a degree in engineering from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Later, in 1990, he earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy at Thammasat University.
