New Delhi, August 30: Pastor Ankur Narula from Jalandhar is facing increasing legal challenges. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has submitted a sealed report to the court regarding Narula. He is accused of misleading people during healing gatherings under the guise of miracles.
Narula is alleged to have invited foreign missionaries to India on tourist visas to conduct religious activities. This is considered a violation of the Foreigners Act of 1946. Additionally, it is claimed that Narula’s organization received foreign donations without the necessary FCRA approval.
Moreover, he is accused of selling oil and watches without issuing GST bills. Given the potential for money laundering, the ED has initiated an investigation. Currently, the agency has filed a report in a sealed envelope with the court.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is also investigating this case. The court has instructed the CBI to examine the allegations against Narula and submit a report in a sealed envelope. The court has also directed that no party disclose case details to the media at this stage. The next hearing is scheduled for October 6.
Narula operates the ‘Church of Signs and Wonders’ under the Pentecostal Church in Khambra village on the Jalandhar-Nakodar road. Born into a Hindu Khatri family, Narula decided to convert to Christianity, leaving behind his family’s marble and tiles business. He established the ‘Church of Signs and Wonders’ in 2008 in Khambra village.
