On Thursday, Sampat revealed that she spotted a poster in Vancouver featuring one of Rawal’s iconic dialogues.
In her Instagram post, she showcased a wall adorned with Rawal’s poster, which read, “Teja main hoon, Mark idhar hai.” In the picture, Sampat posed near the installation, playfully gesturing towards her face, echoing the dialogue’s meaning. She captioned the post, “The impact of that iconic dialogue ‘Teja main hoon, Mark idhar hai’ has reached Vancouver. Missing you in Canada, Paresh Rawal!”
This famous line originates from the film “Andaz Apna Apna,” where Rawal’s portrayal of Teja is unforgettable. In this particular scene, a mole on his character’s face distinguishes him from his twin brother. Since then, this line has become one of the most recognized comic dialogues in Hindi cinema.
In “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994), Rawal played a dual role as Ram Gopal Bajaj and Teja. While Ram Gopal is a straightforward and wealthy businessman, Teja is cunning and seeks to usurp his brother’s fortune.
