Chennai, May 23: Acclaimed director Pandiraj has achieved another milestone in the South Indian film industry. He completed the shooting of his upcoming film, ‘Parimala and Company,’ in just 45 days, setting a new record.
Actress Urvashi praised this achievement during the film’s pre-release event. She noted that while Malayalam films are often completed quickly, Pandiraj managed to finish a Tamil film in even less time.
In an exclusive interview, Pandiraj explained, “We wrapped up the shooting in only 45 days. Technically speaking, considering double call sheets, it equates to about 60 days of work. However, I owe this achievement and the speed of production entirely to my team and the cast.”
The director further highlighted that all actors in the film are ‘one-take artists,’ meaning they deliver perfect performances on the first take, saving significant time. This efficiency made such a remarkable feat possible.
The thriller-comedy ‘Parimala and Company’ marks Pandiraj’s twelfth film, featuring Jayaram and Urvashi in lead roles. The story revolves around a family, showcasing each member’s unique personality and challenges in an engaging manner.
The narrative begins in Chennai and extends to Coimbatore and Palakkad.
In addition to Urvashi and Jayaram, the film will also feature Santosh Shobhan, Sanchana Krishnamurthy, Sandy, and Ananthika Sanalkumar in pivotal roles. Comedian Yogi Babu will add his unique flair to the film, along with other comedians like Singam Puli and Baks in significant parts.
The film is a collaborative production by Lyca Productions, Tamil Kumaran Productions, and Pandiraj’s own company, Pasanga Productions.
