Jammu, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Jammu’s former Director General of Police, SP Vaid, has labeled Pakistan as a fraudulent state, asserting that the country’s military and intelligence agency, the ISI, are misleading the world by claiming that 19 terrorists are fugitives. This statement comes just ahead of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) team’s visit to Pakistan. According to Vaid, Indian intelligence reports indicate that these terrorists are still in Pakistan, contradicting the narrative being presented.
Vaid stated, “As far as I know, Pakistan is a fraudulent state. The Pakistani military and the ISI are deceiving the world, whether by listing names or by showing them as fugitives. The FATF team is visiting, and they are trying to portray these individuals as absconders, which is not true. Our intelligence confirms they are all in Pakistan. They do not want to show them as arrested. How long will the world tolerate the lies of the Pakistani military? The 19 individuals listed, including those involved in the Mumbai attacks, where are they?”
He further questioned the claims regarding Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Masood Azhar, who was previously said to be in Afghanistan. “The Afghan government has denied having him. Where else can he go? He can’t come to India. Is he supposed to vanish underground? There’s no option to escape to the skies, as we saw during Operation Sindoor when he was seen crying after the deaths of his family members,” Vaid added.
Vaid criticized Pakistan’s attempts to mislead the international community, emphasizing that the country operates under a regime that does not speak the truth. He noted that the recent BRICS discussions condemned the Pahalgam attack, highlighting the global consensus against terrorism emanating from Pakistan.
In a separate commentary, defense expert DP Pandey remarked on the reduced military presence along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) compared to 2025. While he acknowledged a slight easing of tensions with China, he cautioned that India should remain vigilant. Reports indicate a decrease in troop deployment along the LAC, attributed to improved dialogue between the two nations following heightened tensions, especially after the Galwan clashes.
“China seems to have realized that engaging in dialogue with India is more beneficial. Our firm stance that trade and other restrictions would remain until border relations improve has led to a noticeable softening in China’s approach,” Pandey explained.
He also mentioned that discussions regarding security are ongoing, with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent visit for the BRICS summit highlighting the importance of these talks. However, he urged caution, stressing that India should never fully trust China and that the Indian military must remain alert due to China’s internal and external challenges.
