Pakistan Cricket Team to Wear Pink Jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness Against England
The Pakistan cricket team will promote breast cancer awareness by wearing pink jerseys in an ODI match against England on October 25.

Lahore, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to raise awareness about breast cancer during the fourth match of the ODI tri-series against England on October 25 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This initiative aims to encourage early detection and timely treatment of the disease, involving players, match officials, and broadcasters in the campaign.
As part of this tri-series, which also includes Sri Lanka, Gaddafi Stadium will be adorned in pink to commemorate “Breast Cancer Awareness Day” under PCB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This event coincides with “Pinktober,” recognized globally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Pakistani men’s team will don specially designed pink kits for the match. Members of the England team, along with match officials and commentators, will also wear pink ribbons to show support for patients and survivors. Awareness messages will be prominently displayed throughout the stadium, including pink stumps and on large screens and LED boards. Commentators will discuss the significance of breast cancer awareness during the live broadcast, aiming to reach audiences both in Pakistan and abroad.
In addition to match-day activities, PCB will launch a digital campaign featuring Pakistan players in recorded videos urging the public to learn about the disease and the importance of early screening. Special information related to the campaign will also be shared on the board’s official social media channels leading up to the match.
Fans attending the game can participate in “Pink Ribbon” activities starting two hours before the match. These initiatives focus on spreading awareness, motivating timely treatment, and showing support for those affected by breast cancer.
Moreover, the PCB will offer limited edition pink merchandise, including travel polo shirts and fan shirts, through its official retail stores and online platforms. This collection allows supporters to join the campaign and demonstrate their commitment to this noble cause. Through these efforts, the PCB aims to harness the reach of international cricket to promote awareness about breast cancer, emphasizing prevention, screening, and access to timely treatment.
