Oppo to Launch Two Foldable Phones in 2026, Set to Rival Apple iPhone Fold

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is planning to enter the foldable smartphone segment with a strong lineup in 2026, aiming to challenge Apple’s upcoming iPhone Fold. According to reports from Smartprix, Oppo will launch two foldable devices next year, one of which is expected to directly compete with Apple’s foldable phone.

Oppo’s Dual Foldable Launch Strategy

Oppo is reportedly adopting a dual-launch approach for its foldable phones in 2026. The first device, Oppo Find N6, is expected to be unveiled in February in China, with a global release anticipated in March. This model is likely aimed at users seeking high performance. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM.

Find N6 will feature an 8.12-inch 2K LTPO OLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.62-inch colour AMOLED cover screen. Its design is expected to be similar to the Find N5 in form factor. The phone may come equipped with a triple-camera setup, including a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. A 6000mAh dual-cell battery supporting 80W wired and 50W wireless charging is also likely. The device is expected to weigh around 225 grams and offer a slim profile.

Oppo Find N7 to Challenge Apple’s Foldable

The second device, Oppo Find N7, is rumoured to take a different design approach and will serve as a direct competitor to the Apple iPhone Fold. Expected to launch around September 2026, roughly coinciding with Apple’s foldable release, the Find N7 will reportedly share high-end camera and battery features with the Find N6 but will adopt a wider, book-style aspect ratio.

This design choice echoes the original Oppo Find N’s passport-like proportions and seems aimed at matching the anticipated dimensions of Apple’s foldable phone, which is also expected to feature a similar book-style fold.

While detailed specifications of the Find N7 are yet to be revealed, it is expected to share many features with the Find N6.

Pricing and Market Position

Little information is currently available regarding the pricing of Oppo’s upcoming foldables. For reference, the Oppo Find N5 was launched in China at approximately 8,999 yuan (around ₹1,15,000). Meanwhile, the Apple iPhone Fold is expected to be priced at about $2,400 (around ₹2,15,000) in the US market.

With these launches, Oppo appears poised to intensify competition in the foldable smartphone segment, offering alternatives to Apple’s latest innovation.
