Oppo Pad Mini Leaks Reveal Impressive Specs and Design

Mumbai, April 4: Oppo is preparing to enter the compact tablet market with its upcoming device, the Oppo Pad Mini. Recent leaks suggest that this smaller tablet is set to deliver high-end specifications.

The latest information comes from @DigitalChatStation on Weibo, who shared key details earlier today. The tablet is expected to feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, diverging from the typical media-centric layouts. This design is likely more suitable for reading and general use.

The display specifications are impressive. It is rumored to have a resolution of 2880×1920 and a refresh rate of 144Hz, which can scale down to 1Hz thanks to LTPO technology. The peak brightness is said to reach 1800 nits, covering the full DCI-P3 color gamut, indicating a premium display experience.

Performance-wise, the Oppo Pad Mini is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, placing it in the flagship category. The design is another highlight, featuring a unibody metal build that is approximately 5.39mm thick and weighs around 279 grams. This makes it notably thin and lightweight for a compact tablet. Color options may include dark gray, purple, and cyan, contrasting with Lenovo’s 8.8-inch Legion Tab Gen 5, which weighs 360 grams.

On the rear, the Oppo Pad Mini will include a 13MP camera in a capsule-style module, which is standard for tablets but not a primary focus.

The battery capacity is reported to be 8000mAh, with support for 67W fast charging. Additionally, eSIM support is mentioned, enhancing its functionality as a standalone device without the need for Wi-Fi. If these leaks are accurate, Oppo appears to be aiming for more than just a “mini” in name.

If the rumors hold true, the Oppo Pad Mini could emerge as one of the most intriguing compact Android tablets to watch this year.
