Delhi Police Files 877-Page Charge Sheet in Janakpuri Incident

New Delhi, April 9: The Delhi Police has taken significant steps in the investigation of a tragic incident in Janakpuri, West Delhi, where a young man lost his life after falling into a pit. The police have submitted a detailed charge sheet comprising 877 pages to the Rohini court, naming three individuals as accused. This incident has raised serious concerns regarding safety measures and negligence in construction activities in the area.

The three accused identified in the charge sheet include Himanshu Gupta, the suspended director of KKS PUN Private India Limited, subcontractor Rajesh Kumar, and a laborer named Yogesh. According to the police, Himanshu Gupta was responsible as the main contractor associated with the project, while Rajesh Kumar served as the subcontractor. Yogesh was reportedly assigned to work at the construction site by Rajesh Kumar.

The investigation revealed that adequate safety measures were lacking at the construction site, leading to this unfortunate accident. It is alleged that those responsible failed to adhere to necessary precautions, resulting in the loss of a young life. Following the incident, local residents expressed significant outrage.

The Delhi Police has clarified that the investigation is not yet complete. Investigative agencies are also looking into the roles of other potential individuals connected to the incident. Should further inquiries reveal additional involvement, supplementary charges will be filed in court against those individuals.

As per the information available, the court proceedings based on the police’s charge sheet are currently ongoing.
