Mumbai, March 15: Oppo is gearing up to launch a new high-end tablet, with early leaks indicating it could be one of the company’s most powerful offerings to date. The details have emerged from the well-known Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared the device’s specifications.
The Pad 5 Pro is expected to feature a 13.2-inch display, positioning it among the larger Android tablets in development. While specifics about the display panel are still under wraps, it is anticipated to boast a high resolution and potentially a high refresh rate. For reference, the Pad 4 Pro includes a 2400 x 3392 IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
At the heart of the tablet could be Qualcomm’s forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. If this information is accurate, the Pad 5 Pro will firmly establish itself in the flagship category, delivering robust performance for gaming, video editing, and multitasking.
Regarding battery life, the leak suggests a rated capacity of 11,905mAh, with the typical capacity expected to reach approximately 13,000mAh. The device is also said to support 67W fast charging, similar to its predecessor.
The Pad 5 Pro is rumored to feature an 8MP front camera for video calls and a 13MP rear camera, primarily designed for document scanning and occasional photography.
Storage and memory options are set to include configurations of 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB.
In the comments of the original post, the tipster hinted that the tablet could debut around April 2026, possibly alongside a new flagship smartphone. However, pricing details remain undisclosed at this time.
