New Delhi, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled its proposed exam calendar for several key examinations scheduled between December 2026 and March 2027. It is important to note that these dates are provisional and may be altered due to administrative, academic, legal, logistical, or unforeseen circumstances.
The released calendar includes potential dates for 14 examinations, such as JEE Main, UGC NET, CSIR-UGC NET, CMAT, and CUET PG. Five exams are slated for December 2026. The National Indian Military College exam will take place on December 6, while the ‘SWAYAM’ examination is set for December 8 to 12.
The exam for the National Military Schools is scheduled for December 13. The December cycle of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test will be conducted from December 14 to 19, with additional dates on December 20 and 21. The CSIR-UGC NET exam is also planned for December 20 and 21.
In January 2027, five exams are expected. The Army Cadet College exam is proposed for January 4, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam is scheduled for January 10. Additionally, the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) for engineering candidates is set for January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30, with January 31 reserved as an extra date.
The All India Sainik School Entrance Exam will occur on January 31. In March 2027, the Common University Entrance Test for postgraduates will be held over multiple dates, from March 1 to 5, March 8 to 12, March 20 to 21, and March 24 to 25, with additional dates on March 30 and 31. The second part of the National Technical Teacher Training initiative will take place on March 5 and 7.
The NTA has stated that the release of the exam calendar aims to assist students, parents, and educational institutions in preparing for and planning upcoming examinations. However, detailed information regarding the application process, admit cards, exam centers, and results will be provided through separate notifications. Candidates are advised to regularly check the NTA website for official updates.
Additionally, the NTA has initiated a process to include subject matter experts in its panel for national-level examinations. Experienced educators, researchers, and academics are invited to apply. These experts will aid in developing accurate and effective exam questions, as well as reviewing and verifying them. They will ensure that questions are based on correct concepts, clearly articulated, and appropriately challenging for the exams. A key responsibility of these experts will be to maintain consistency and fairness in the questions, aligning them with the prescribed syllabus and exam framework.
