New Delhi, February 19: Khushnuma Ansari, also known as Neha, the girlfriend of infamous gangster Mahfooz Ali, alias Bobby Kabootar, has been arrested. She was taken into custody by the Special Cell of Delhi Police in the Chauhan Bangar area of Northeast Delhi. This operation comes in the wake of several high-profile criminal incidents, including the murder of Sidhu Moosewala.
Just a day prior, police apprehended Bobby Kabootar after a seven-year manhunt. Reports indicate that the Special Cell received intelligence about Khushnuma’s whereabouts in the Chauhan Bangar area, specifically in Gali Number 10 of the Jafrabad locality. Acting on this information, the team raided the area and arrested her from her residence, where she was also running a beauty parlor.
Investigations revealed that Khushnuma played a crucial role during Bobby’s time on the run. For the past seven years, while Bobby frequently changed locations, she was responsible for managing his hideouts and facilitating communication with other gang members. This led to the Special Cell keeping a close watch on her activities.
Notably, Bobby Kabootar was arrested near the Delhi-Gurugram border and is wanted in several serious cases, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. According to police, he had conducted reconnaissance in the area before the murder and relayed vital information to the attackers.
Additionally, Bobby’s name has surfaced in connection with a shooting incident at actress Disha Patani’s residence in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Police claim that he was responsible for procuring the foreign weapons used in that incident. Some shooters involved in this case were killed in encounters, while others have been arrested. Following Bobby’s arrest, authorities anticipate significant revelations in this case.
Senior officials from the Special Cell are currently interrogating Khushnuma Ansari to determine when and how she became involved with the gang, her role in various cases, and her connections with other gang members.
