
Noida, June 6: The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate has initiated a significant campaign against the consumption of alcohol and other narcotics in public spaces. Joint operations by Sector 63 and Ecotech-3 police stations resulted in legal action against a total of 125 individuals.
According to police officials, this initiative aims to curb substance abuse in public areas, maintain law and order, and provide a safe environment for citizens. During the campaign, police teams conducted thorough inspections at various public locations, markets, streets, parks, and other crowded areas.
Under this special operation, the Sector 63 police took action against 72 individuals for consuming alcohol or other substances in public, while the Ecotech-3 police acted against 53 individuals. In total, legal measures were enforced against 125 people across both police jurisdictions.
The campaign was conducted under the supervision of the DCP Central Noida and ADC Central Noida, with police teams led by ACP-1 and ACP-3 Central Noida. Officials emphasized that substance abuse in public places negatively impacts the social environment and can disrupt public peace and law and order.
In light of this, continuous action is being taken against such individuals. During the campaign, the police appealed to the public to refrain from consuming alcohol or any narcotics in public spaces and to cooperate in maintaining social order by adhering to the law. The police have warned that similar special operations will continue in the future against those who violate these regulations.
