New Zealand Triumphs Over Ireland by Innings and 79 Runs in Sole Test Match

Belfast, May 29: New Zealand has secured a commanding victory over Ireland, winning the only Test match by an innings and 79 runs. The Kiwi team clinched the match in the second session of the third day.

In this Test, Ireland won the toss and opted to bowl first. New Zealand declared their innings at 490 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Key performances came from wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Blundell and young all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, both of whom scored centuries. Blundell played a remarkable innings of 186 runs off 292 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 22 fours. Ravindra contributed with 121 runs from 194 balls, including 4 sixes and 11 fours. Dean Foxcroft narrowly missed a century, scoring 98 runs off 129 balls before being dismissed.
