Jerusalem, June 2: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Tehran has paid a significant price for its actions, and the foundations of the current regime are crumbling. He warned that anyone plotting against Israel will see their plans fail and face severe consequences.
Netanyahu made these remarks during a farewell ceremony for Mossad Director David Barnea on Monday. He later shared key points on the X platform.
He emphasized, “Anyone who looks at Israel with ill intent should know that their schemes will be unsuccessful. They will pay a heavy price. Iran has already paid a substantial cost. The foundation of this regime is eroding. It will never be the same again, and ultimately, it will collapse.”
This statement from the Israeli Prime Minister comes at a time when he has reportedly been urged by U.S. President Donald Trump to halt attacks in Lebanon. The Times of Israel, citing Axios, reported that Trump expressed frustration using strong language regarding the attacks on Lebanon.
In his address, Netanyahu also praised the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad. He noted that Israel has established a global reputation in technology, defense, medicine, and agriculture, but “Mossad” is recognized internationally as a premier intelligence and counter-terrorism organization. He confidently stated that based on years of experience, there is no intelligence agency better than Mossad.
The Prime Minister described David Barnea’s 30-year tenure as one of the most significant and challenging periods in Israel’s history. He highlighted that under Barnea’s leadership, many crucial achievements were made that played a vital role in enhancing Israel’s security.
