New Delhi, August 4: The NDA parliamentary alliance will convene a ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting on Tuesday at the Parliament Library Building (PLB). The purpose of this meeting is to strategize for the remaining 10 days of the Monsoon Session.
A note from the BJP office in Parliament has requested all NDA members from both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to attend the meeting. It states, “We urge all esteemed NDA members to make time for this event and be present at the venue on schedule.”
According to the office secretary of the BJP in Parliament, the meeting will commence at 9:30 AM in the G.M.C. Balayogi Auditorium.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Education Minister Prakash Joshi, and Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh are expected to attend, along with other NDA MPs.
The ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting is essentially a revamped version of the NDA parliamentary alliance’s weekly strategy sessions, aimed at fostering constructive dialogue and enhancing coordination among coalition members.
In addition to managing daily parliamentary proceedings and building consensus among various parties, the ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting serves as a platform for improving coordination with NDA’s allied parties.
This meeting encourages participation from NDA MPs and helps distribute speaking responsibilities among key allies, including Shiv Sena, LJP, TDP, JDU, and other regional parties.
During the previous ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting held on July 28, NCP-I MPs Kakoli Ghosh, Shatabdi Roy, and Sayoni Ghosh participated for the first time. These MPs were previously part of the Trinamool Congress and have now joined this meeting with other NDA allies.
Several MPs from the Nationalist Citizen Party of India (NCP-I), who attended the NDA parliamentary alliance’s ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting for the first time, praised the coalition’s “systematic functioning.”
