NCB Busts Two Illegal Drug Labs in Greater Noida, Arrests Two Suspects

The NCB has uncovered two illegal drug labs in Greater Noida, seizing over 379 kg of drugs and arresting two individuals involved.

Greater Noida, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has successfully dismantled two illegal drug manufacturing laboratories located in Jahangabad Kadhalpur village, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. These labs were operating from rented premises specifically designed for the production and processing of synthetic drugs.

During the operation, authorities seized a total of 379.740 kilograms of amphetamine-laden materials, which included 4.260 kilograms of crystalline, 157.700 kilograms of semi-crystalline, and 217.780 kilograms of liquid substances. Additionally, 10 kilograms of pseudoephedrine were confiscated.

From the seized crystalline and semi-crystalline materials, it is estimated that approximately 56 kilograms of ready-to-use crystalline amphetamine could be produced, with a potential street value of around ₹45 crores. A significant quantity of chemicals used in methamphetamine production was also recovered, including hydrochloric acid, acetone, toluene, sulfuric acid, and potassium permanganate.

The labs featured extensive processing setups, including high-capacity heating mantles, glass reaction vessels, chemical storage drums, filtration equipment, weighing machines, respirators, and other laboratory apparatus.

So far, two suspects have been arrested in connection with this case. They have been identified as Destiny Abraham Dumbiri, who claims to be Nigerian, and Lallawma Zuali, also known as Olivia Lalchawimawi, hailing from Mizoram.

Immigration records reveal that Destiny Abraham Dumbiri entered India in January 2020 under the guise of a Sierra Leonean citizen named Francis Kalokoh, holding a valid tourist visa until December 2020. Olivia was previously arrested by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in Goa, where 313 grams of heroin powder were seized from her checked-in luggage at Dabolim Airport in March 2026. She is currently out on bail.

This operation follows a similar bust in October 2024, when the NCB uncovered a clandestine synthetic drug lab in the Kasna industrial area of Gautam Buddh Nagar, leading to the seizure of approximately 95.5 kilograms of synthetic drugs. That investigation revealed suspected links to the Mexican drug cartel, Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), resulting in the arrest of five individuals, including a Mexican national.

The NCB is now probing the financial transactions, chemical procurement, and distribution networks involved in this operation to identify financiers, suppliers, technical collaborators, and other associates. Further arrests are anticipated, and investigations into interstate and international connections are ongoing.
