New Delhi, August 9: Nayanthara, one of the most celebrated actresses in South Indian cinema, is known for her reluctance to participate in interviews and promotional events. Therefore, her appearance at the trailer launch of Yash’s upcoming film ‘Toxic’ has sparked considerable discussion. The actress shared her reasons for breaking her usual rule and attending this event.
In ‘Toxic,’ Nayanthara plays the character Ganga. During the trailer launch, she spoke about the film, but it was her comments on avoiding promotional events that garnered the most attention.
Nayanthara stated, “I have no issue with attending promotional events, but I don’t excel in them. I often feel uncomfortable expressing myself in such settings, unlike other artists who do so effortlessly. That’s why I usually prefer to stay away from these events. My absence is not due to any dissatisfaction or lack of interest in my films.”
Regarding ‘Toxic,’ she explained that several factors influenced her decision to attend this time, with Yash being the primary reason. She mentioned, “Yash simply called me, and that was enough for me to join the event.”
Nayanthara also shared her experience working with Yash. She remarked, “Every major artist in the film industry has their unique qualities, which is why they become superstars. However, my first encounter with Yash was different. The powerful persona he portrays on screen is quite similar to his real-life character.”
She added, “When I met Yash for the first time, I realized that his on-screen presence is not limited to acting. His confidence and charisma are evident in his personality as well.”
‘Toxic’ is set to release in theaters worldwide on August 26, 2026.
