Navjot Kaur Sidhu Criticizes Punjab Government Over Recent Bombings

Amritsar, May 7: Navjot Kaur Sidhu, founder of the Bharatiya Rashtravadi Party (BRP), has sharply criticized the Punjab government following the recent bomb blasts in Jalandhar and Amritsar. She raised serious concerns about intelligence failures and the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

In response to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s accusations against the BJP regarding the dual bombings, Sidhu stated, “It is not fair to blame a single political party for such incidents. You cannot say that a specific political party is responsible. Where was your intelligence?”

Questioning the political blame game, Sidhu asked, “Is the Chief Minister a member of the BJP? If they are collaborating, does that mean they govern Punjab? They don’t even have MPs or MLAs. Therefore, Mann’s accusations are baseless.”

She also expressed concerns over uncontrolled migration and demographic changes, urging authorities to remain vigilant. “You should see who is coming to Punjab. Are you investigating them? New slums are emerging every day. Have you identified them? Where are they coming from, and who are they? Monitoring such incidents is the responsibility of the state machinery,” she said.

Sidhu launched a scathing attack on the Punjab government and Chief Minister Mann, insisting that intelligence agencies need to be more proactive. “It is your responsibility. You have intelligence agencies. You should ensure this work is done,” she emphasized.

Claiming that crime and fear are on the rise in the state, Sidhu questioned, “From morning to evening, you hear disturbing news. Sikh children are being kidnapped and provoked. Whether you are at a shop or at home, anyone can come and shoot. Is this law and order?”

She demanded answers regarding policing and surveillance, asking, “Where is your police? Where are your intelligence agencies?”

Her comments come amid rising concerns following the recent explosions in parts of Punjab, which have heightened political tensions and instilled fear among the public.
