National Shooter Damayanti Sen Returns Home After 48 Hours Missing

Kolkata, July 18: National shooter Damayanti Sen, who had been missing for 48 hours, returned home safely on Saturday morning. However, the reasons behind her disappearance remain a mystery. Neither her family nor the investigating agencies have issued an official statement regarding the incident.

Reports indicate that Damayanti left her home on Thursday afternoon to buy some household items. She had her mobile phone with her at the time, but did not return home afterward. Concerned about her prolonged absence, her family reported her missing to the police, prompting a special investigation to locate her.

On Saturday morning, some locals near the Ramkrishnapur ferry jetty in Howrah spotted Damayanti wandering without any apparent purpose. Recognizing her, they immediately informed her family. Her father, Dhruvjyoti Sen, arrived at the scene and took her home safely.

During her time away, Damayanti was seen at two different locations. Initially, she was captured on CCTV footage at Howrah Railway Station, wandering between platforms four and five on Thursday. The following day, she was spotted at the famous Mahesh Rath Yatra in Serampore, Hooghly district. This information quickly went viral on social media, leading the police to deploy four different teams to search for her.

Recently, Damayanti had been selected for the national team trials and is considered a promising talent in shooting. A special investigation team formed by the police is currently examining the entire case. Officials state that they will reach a conclusion only after thoroughly reviewing all the facts.
