
Chittorgarh, December 8 (Daily Kiran) – A tragic road accident occurred on Sunday night in Begun police station area of Chittorgarh district. A biker was hit by a car and fell on the road. When some passersby came to help the injured biker, another speeding car struck the group along with three other vehicles on the highway.
The accident resulted in two immediate deaths, while four others were injured and taken to Mandalgarh Hospital in Bhilwara district for treatment. Begun police reached the scene and initiated an investigation. The postmortem of the deceased took place on Monday. Later, two more injured succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Begun Circle Inspector Shivlal Meena reported that the accident happened near Mandana village on National Highway 27, the Kota–Chittorgarh route, around 8 pm. A car hit a bike, causing the biker to fall. When people gathered to assist, a fast-moving car from behind hit them and also collided with three other vehicles. The severity of the crash led to a pileup involving additional vehicles.
Among the deceased were Hemraj, son of Kishanlal Gurjar, a resident of Mandana village, and another unidentified person. Four others were injured and taken to Mandalgarh Hospital, Bhilwara. Police have secured the wrecked vehicles and are conducting further inquiries.
During treatment, Fohrulal, son of Bagha Gurjar from Tikhi Ka Kheda, and Sonu, son of Chandra Gurjar, also passed away. Postmortem procedures for these victims are underway. The bodies of the deceased are kept at Begun hospital mortuary.
The police continue their investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this fatal accident on the busy highway.
