Chhapra, April 2: Discussions regarding the new Chief Minister of Bihar are intensifying. Several names are emerging for the state’s leadership. In this context, BJP spokesperson Krishna Kuntal has made a significant claim about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. He clearly stated that Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister of the NDA and will continue in this role moving forward.
In an exclusive conversation with a news agency, Kuntal praised Nitish Kumar’s contributions to Bihar’s development. He emphasized that currently, Nitish Kumar is the most prominent figure in the state’s politics. “When Bihar’s history is written, a few leaders will be remembered in golden letters, with Nitish Kumar being a key figure,” he remarked. He referenced Bihar’s first Chief Minister, Sri Krishna Singh, noting that both their names will be integral to the narrative of the state’s progress.
Kuntal pointed out that when Nitish Kumar took office, Bihar was in a state of backwardness and despair. However, during his tenure, he has drawn a long line of good governance. Today, Bihar is advancing in terms of development and governance, which is a direct result of his leadership. Kuntal stressed that any future successor must continue this model of development and governance. He asserted that the example of service and good governance set by Nitish Kumar will be seen as a benchmark not only in Bihar but across the country. According to him, adopting this model will become a necessity for any future leader.
Regarding the question of succession, Kuntal stated that currently, Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister and will remain so. However, if a constitutional situation arises necessitating the selection of a successor, the NDA’s top leadership will collectively make that decision. He expressed confidence that the NDA government in Bihar is stable and will continue to thrive in the future.
Kuntal added that the NDA has no shortage of leadership. The Bharatiya Janata Party and its allied parties possess strong leadership capabilities, which enable them to make sound decisions when needed. He highlighted this as a distinctive feature of the BJP, noting that the party continually prepares new leaders, which is its greatest strength.
