Dehradun, August 30: Former Chairman of the Uttarakhand Madrasa Education Board, Mufti Shamoon Qasmi, praised Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami while targeting the Congress and other opposition parties. He stated that it has been 80 years since the country gained independence, yet Muslims have consistently been viewed merely as a vote bank.
In a media interaction, Mufti Shamoon Qasmi remarked, “It has been 80 years since our country became independent. Muslims have always been seen only as a vote bank. Whenever any party or Chief Minister attempts to bring them into the mainstream, individuals emerge who mislead Muslims. I condemn this behavior. I not only condemn it but also urge Muslims to boycott such people. Everyone should reject them.”
He clarified that the Madrasa Education Board has not been abolished; rather, it has been revitalized by incorporating Humanities to enhance educational quality. He commended Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s decision, stating that in a few years, impoverished children studying in these madrasas will have opportunities to become engineers, doctors, IAS, and PCS officers.
He noted that with elections approaching, he would like to tell the Muslim community that they have a better opportunity to reduce their differences. He urged them to break free from the conspiracy of Congress and the opposition. He appreciated the administration’s initiatives in Uttarakhand, advising those discussing various issues on social media to ensure that no one interferes in their children’s future.
Mufti Shamoon Qasmi expressed his appreciation for Chief Minister Dhami’s commendable step in establishing the Uttarakhand Minority Education Authority.
