MSI has introduced two new 32-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitors ahead of CES 2025, designed to meet different user preferences. The models, MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 and MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24, feature a 5-layer Tandem OLED structure combined with EL Gen 3 TECHNOLOGY, enhancing brightness efficiency and extending panel lifespan.

Both monitors incorporate DarkArmor Film technology, which addresses common issues found in typical QD-OLED panels. This special coating removes purple and reddish hues that often appear under ambient lighting. It also improves pure black levels by 40%, resulting in better contrast and image quality. Additionally, the film increases the screen surface hardness from 2H to 3H, offering 2.5 times greater scratch resistance for everyday use.

The MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 is equipped with an AI Care Sensor, a feature absent in the MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24. This sensor uses an NPU-based chip to detect human presence in real time. When no user is detected, it automatically adjusts power settings and activates panel protection to prevent burn-in, thereby prolonging the display’s life without affecting gaming performance.

On the other hand, the MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24 serves as the standard version, providing the core 5-layer Tandem OLED display and DarkArmor Film, but without the AI Care Sensor. This makes it suitable for users who prefer the essential display technology without additional automated protection.

The 5-layer Tandem OLED design differs from conventional single-layer OLED panels by stacking multiple light-emitting layers. This approach achieves higher brightness levels and distributes electrical load more evenly, reducing stress on individual pixels and enhancing durability—an important factor for OLED screens prone to burn-in from static images.

QD-OLED technology merges quantum dots with OLED panels, offering a wider colour gamut and improved colour accuracy compared to WOLED displays. The 32-inch 4K resolution provides 140 pixels per inch, striking a balance between screen space and sharpness ideal for both gaming and professional work.

MSI has not yet revealed pricing or precise launch dates. Both monitors are expected to be released sometime in 2026, with complete specifications including refresh rates, response times, and connectivity options to be announced closer to the launch.
