Mumbai, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : Actor Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub is gearing up for the release of his upcoming streaming series, “Hunkar: The Roar.” He shared that the courtroom sequences were quite comfortable for him.
In courtroom dramas, actors rely heavily on dialogue, pacing, and body language to captivate the audience. When asked if there was a particular monologue or dialogue that required multiple takes or extensive preparation, Ayyub responded that the experience was filled with ease and enjoyment.
Reflecting on the shooting process, he said, “No, I didn’t face any issues. I think Karan can tell you better about the courtroom shoots since he was there and can clarify if there were any challenges. Everything seemed to go smoothly.”
He added that the cast had a great time together, filled with laughter and camaraderie. “We all enjoyed ourselves, so Karan might be better positioned to say if I faced any trouble,” he noted.
“Hunkar: The Roar” is set against the backdrop of power, faith, and influence. It tells the story of 17-year-old Meenu Rawat, who makes allegations against a spiritual guru.
Directed by Karan D. Kapadia and Nitya Mehra, the series features actress Anit Padda in the role of Meenu Rawat, who gained fame from “Saiyara.” The allegations lead to an intense investigation and courtroom battle, revealing the complex relationships between faith, power, and justice. Fatima Sana Shaikh plays ACP Jasleen Singh Soin, while Ayyub is joined by Raghubir Yadav, Ram Kapoor, and Arjun Mathur in significant roles. Produced by Applause Entertainment, Birla Studios, and Purple Pebble Pictures, the series showcases the struggle of a young woman fighting to make her voice heard against institutional power.
“Hunkar: The Roar” is set to stream on JioCinema starting September 25, 2026.
