Mika Singh Challenges Minister on Payment Allegations Against Daler Mehndi

Mika Singh questions Minister Subodh Uniyal over payment claims made against singer Daler Mehndi during a recent event.

Mumbai, October 21 (Daily Kiran) : Singer Mika Singh has posed a direct question to Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal regarding the alleged payment made to fellow artist Daler Mehndi. Uniyal had claimed that Mehndi received ₹35 lakh for a recent Navratri event but appeared to lip-sync during his performance.

In a post on social media platform X, Mika asked Uniyal whether the payment was made in cash or by check. He further requested the minister to provide proof of payment receipts to clarify the situation. “Sir, did you pay ₹35 lakh in cash or by check? If you have the receipts, please share them publicly so that the truth can come out. Thank you!” Mika wrote.

Speaking to the media, Minister Uniyal explained that he invited Daler Mehndi to the event due to his prominence in the industry. He reiterated his belief that Mehndi seemed to be lip-syncing during the performance, despite the substantial payment offered.

Uniyal also mentioned that as a local representative and member of the fair committee, he is under pressure from the public to address the issue.

On Tuesday, Mika Singh issued a challenge, stating that if anyone could prove that his older brother, Daler Mehndi, drinks alcohol, he would quit singing. In a supportive video shared on social media, Mika defended his brother, asserting that no one has ever seen Daler with a glass of alcohol or witnessed excessive drinking at his birthday parties. He emphasized the dedication of artists, noting that they often perform regardless of their health conditions, highlighting that Daler likely did the same.

Mika’s remarks and the ongoing controversy surrounding the payment allegations have drawn significant attention in the entertainment community.
