Mickey Singh Discusses Her Role in International Film A Mosquito in the Ear
Actress Mickey Singh shares insights on her role in the Indo-American film A Mosquito in the Ear and her journey in the industry.

Mumbai, October 24 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Mickey Singh is currently starring as Sister Aruna in the Indo-American feature film “A Mosquito in the Ear.” In a recent interview, she opened up about her experience working on the film and the intricacies of her character.
Singh expressed that taking on a significant role in an international film was particularly special for her. She described the character as well-written yet demanding, making it a worthwhile challenge.
Having completed her education at a convent school, Singh drew inspiration from the nuns’ demeanor to portray Aruna authentically.
Reflecting on her collaboration with director Nicola Rincari, she noted, “His vision for the scenes and characters is very clear. He treats actors well and allows them the freedom to express themselves. It’s not essential for an actor to follow the script verbatim; he values improvisation greatly. Preparation is also key before shooting begins.”
She added, “He extracts from the actor exactly what he needs for the character, allowing freedom within his vision.” The film also features Jake Lacy and Nazanin Boniadi in pivotal roles.
Recalling her experience sharing the screen with British actress Nazanin Boniadi, Singh remarked, “She is not only a fantastic actress but also a wonderful person. She made me feel like I was working with a friend rather than a superstar or international star.”
When asked about her experience working across different cultures, Singh noted, “I believe filmmaking is quite similar in every culture. The preparation process for actors is also alike. We completed this film in 20 days, with everything meticulously planned. We had to finish our work on the same day, with no option to carry over tasks to the next day. The level of preparation and professionalism in this project was very high.”
