Birmingham, August 13: MI London, the former champions of The Hundred, have been eliminated from the 2026 tournament. This comes despite a nail-biting 2-run victory against Birmingham Phoenix on Wednesday. The team’s poor run rate ultimately led to their exit from the competition.
In the season, MI London won 5 out of 8 matches. Both Manchester United and Sunrisers Leeds also secured 5 wins in their 8 matches. However, they advanced to the eliminator due to a better run rate, leaving MI London behind. The eliminator match between Manchester United and Sunrisers Leeds is scheduled for August 14, which will determine the second finalist. Trent Rockets have already secured their place in the final, which will take place on August 16.
