Membership of Chinas Communist Youth League Reaches Over 78 Million

Beijing, May 4: According to data released by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China on May 3, the membership of the league reached 78.336 million by the end of 2025. This marks an increase of over 3.018 million members compared to the previous year. Additionally, the number of various levels of Communist Youth League organizations rose to 5.15 million, an increase of over 753,000.

In 2025, 9.137 million young people joined the Communist Youth League of China.

The statistics reveal that there are 3,000 local committees and 199,000 grassroots committees within the league. In schools, the number of Communist Youth League organizations stands at 2.355 million, with a membership of 41.833 million. In government and public institutions, there are 347,000 organizations, comprising 3.798 million members.

Notably, in emerging sectors and other areas, the league has established 1.223 million organizations, with a total membership of 5.970 million.
