Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2026: Job Openings for Junior Football Coach and More

Shillong, June 7: A fantastic opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for government jobs and awaiting vacancy announcements. The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has issued an official notification inviting applications for 11 positions of Fisheries Officer under the Directorate of Fisheries and 11 positions for Junior Football Coach under the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, located in Shillong, Meghalaya.

The online application process for these vacancies began on May 25, and the deadline for submissions is set for June 25. Candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the official MPSC portal by 5 PM on the final date.

Applicants for the Fisheries Officer position must possess a Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fisheries from a recognized university or institution. For the Junior Football Coach position, candidates should be graduates from any stream and hold a one-year diploma in Sports Coaching from the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) or a diploma in a related field from any other government-recognized institution/university/college. Preference will be given to those who have won medals in recognized international, national, or zonal championships.

The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, with a maximum age limit of 27 for the Fisheries Officer role and 32 for the Junior Football Coach position, calculated as of January 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a screening test, personal interviews, and other stages. The salary for selected candidates will range between levels 11 and 12 of the revised pay structure, depending on the position.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹350 for General/OBC/EWS categories and ₹175 for SC/ST candidates. Candidates from the PWD category are exempt from the registration fee.
