Maruti Suzuki India Surpasses 200,000 Units in June Sales, Toyota Reports 7% Growth

New Delhi, July 1: June proved to be a strong month for India’s passenger vehicle market. Major automotive companies, including Maruti Suzuki India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, and Hyundai Motor India, reported robust sales figures.

Maruti Suzuki India achieved sales of 200,390 units in June. This includes 150,150 units sold in the domestic market and 41,768 units exported. Notably, Maruti also sold 7,472 units to other vehicle manufacturers.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded a total of 31,016 units sold in June, marking a 7% increase from the 28,869 units sold in the same month last year. This figure includes 28,441 domestic units and 2,575 units exported.

Sabri Manohar, Executive Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, expressed excitement over the positive momentum gained from focusing on customer demand. The recently launched new Innova Crysta, featuring updated styling and design elements, has received an enthusiastic market response for its appeal and value proposition.

Hyundai Motor India reported a total monthly sales of 51,335 units in June 2026, which comprises 39,635 units sold in the domestic market and 11,700 units exported.

Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, noted that this sales performance was achieved despite a production loss of 13,900 units due to a fire at one of its suppliers’ manufacturing facilities, which temporarily disrupted component supply. He mentioned that Hyundai arranged parts from alternative sourcing locations and resumed normal production across all facilities from June 22, 2026. The company expects to recover from the production loss during the second quarter of FY27.
