Adani Electricity Celebrates National Electricity Safety Week with Enhanced Disaster Preparedness

Mumbai, July 2: Adani Electricity has celebrated National Electricity Safety Week 2026 from June 26 to July 2 across all its offices and electricity supply areas.

During this week, various awareness workshops and programs related to electrical safety were organized for employees and consumers. This year’s theme was “Efficiency, Compliance, and Caution – Ensuring Electrical Safety.”

A company spokesperson stated, “Adani Electricity reaffirms its commitment to safe practices, an efficient workforce, and vigilant compliance, pledging to responsibly supply energy to ensure safety in every home and workplace.”

Last month, Adani Electricity strengthened its disaster management preparations. This initiative aims to protect its 3.2 million consumers from potential challenges and disruptions in power supply during the monsoon season.

To effectively handle emergencies during the monsoon, Adani Electricity has activated the Central Disaster Control Center (CDCC). This center will operate 24/7, ensuring prompt action, coordination, and communication throughout the monsoon period.

The spokesperson added that seven Quick Response Teams (QRT) have been strategically deployed across the electricity distribution network. These teams are equipped with specialized response, recovery, and service restoration plans to tackle monsoon-related challenges.

To monitor flood-like conditions, 98 advanced water level sensors have been installed at critical locations, connected to the Advanced Distribution Management System. This setup will aid in predicting and addressing electricity issues related to flooding in a timely manner.

The Central Disaster Control Center (CDCC) will ensure seamless communication with various departments and external agencies using advanced satellite and wireless technologies, walkie-talkies, and remote devices. This will minimize service disruption duration and enable effective incident management.

The spokesperson further noted that before the monsoon, Adani Electricity completed extensive inspections and maintenance work. Equipment located in flood-prone areas has been elevated to prevent water damage. Additionally, essential materials, emergency vehicles, and diesel generators have been pre-deployed at various locations for immediate action in case of emergencies.
