Mamta Kulkarni Highlights Womens Health Neglect in Indian Families

Mumbai, April 9: In Indian families, women often become so engrossed in their familial responsibilities that they neglect their own well-being. Actress Mamta Kulkarni has openly addressed this issue. Through a video, she emphasized the need for a shift in mindset regarding health within Indian society.

Mamta Kulkarni stated, “I have often observed that Indian women dedicate their entire lives to caring for their husbands and children. They prioritize home and family but fail to focus on their own health. I believe this mindset is flawed because if a woman is not healthy, she cannot take proper care of her family.”

She pointed out that this issue is not limited to women alone. Many men and children also do not take health seriously. “People may reach gyms or health clubs, but instead of working out, they just spend time there. This habit needs to change so that people can genuinely stay fit,” she added.

Citing examples from abroad, Mamta Kulkarni noted, “There, everyone, from young children to the elderly, is conscious about their fitness. People regularly exercise, participate in outdoor activities, and keep their bodies active. This is why they remain fit and active for longer periods.”

She also stressed the importance of Vitamin D. Mamta said, “Spending time in the sun is crucial for the body. Often, people mock foreigners for their attire, but they do not realize that they are getting essential nutrition from the sun, which is vital for their body development and fitness.”

Sharing her daily routine, Mamta mentioned, “I make it a point to visit the beach once or twice a week. Walking barefoot on the sand is very beneficial for the body. The salt in the sand helps eliminate impurities from the body.”

“When I cannot go to the beach, I spend time at the health club. I swim, soak up the sun, and keep my body active. Many times, I spend two to three hours in the sun,” she concluded.
