New Delhi, 16 August (Kiran News). iPhone users often complain about short battery life, but this concern is set to end soon, thanks to AI. According to recent reports, the upcoming iOS 26 will introduce a new ‘Adaptive Power’ feature designed to extend battery life using artificial intelligence.
AI to Enhance iPhone Battery Life
With iOS 26, Apple is adding Adaptive Power, an AI-driven setting that intelligently manages power consumption during heavy usage, such as video recording, photo editing, or gaming. Unlike traditional Low Power Mode, Adaptive Power makes subtle performance adjustments—like dimming the display or slightly delaying background activities—only when the battery is under extra load. Users can still manually enable Low Power Mode at 20% battery, but Adaptive Power goes further by working automatically during high-power tasks.
How to Enable Adaptive Power in iOS 26

Ensure your iPhone is running the iOS 26 developer or public beta.

Go to Settings > Battery > Power Mode.

Above Low Power Mode, you’ll see the new Adaptive Power option.

Toggle it ON to activate intelligent battery saving.
Supported Devices for Adaptive Power
Although Apple hasn’t officially branded Adaptive Power as part of Apple Intelligence, user reports on social media confirm it is available only on devices supporting Apple Intelligence. Older iPhones do not show this option in the battery settings.
