Major Police Success in Hazaribagh: Eight Militants Arrested Linked to Banned TPC Organization

Hazaribagh, March 22: In a significant achievement, police in Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, have arrested eight criminals associated with the banned militant organization TPC, along with weapons. This operation has potentially averted a major criminal incident in the area.

According to police sources, they received intelligence indicating that members of the militant group were planning a significant attack. Taking this information seriously, a special raid team was formed under the direction of the Superintendent of Police, and surveillance in suspicious areas was intensified. During this operation, a suspicious white Bolero vehicle was spotted in the Koliyari area of the Uriya OP region. Upon noticing the police, the driver attempted to flee at high speed.

Demonstrating quick action, the police pursued the vehicle. During the chase, the Bolero lost control and crashed into a bridge and a tree between the villages of Aswa and Gudkuwa. Immediately after the accident, police cordoned off the area and apprehended all the suspects in the vehicle. A search revealed that two of the accused were armed with INSAS rifles, indicating the seriousness of their intentions.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Sunil Munda, Virendra Munda, Surendra Munda, Lal Mohan Munda, Anil Munda, Ravindra Ganjhu alias Rinku, Satyendra Ganjhu alias Santu, and Sanjay Munda. All suspects are reported to be residents of Latehar and Ranchi districts.

From the suspects, police recovered two INSAS rifles, a large quantity of live ammunition, a country-made pistol, the Bolero vehicle, and seven mobile phones. Preliminary investigations suggest that all arrested individuals are linked to the banned TSPC militant organization and were planning to execute a major incident. Currently, police are interrogating the suspects and are actively searching for other members of their network.
