Major IPS Transfers in Maharashtra: New Police Superintendents and DCPs Appointed

Mumbai, April 20: The Maharashtra government has announced significant transfers and new appointments of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. This administrative reshuffle involves changes in the responsibilities of several district Superintendents of Police (SP) and Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP). According to the list released by the government, numerous senior officials have been assigned to new positions.

As per the order, Tushar Doshi, who was the Superintendent of Police in Satara, has been transferred and appointed as the Superintendent of Police in Sangli. Meanwhile, Nikhil Pingale, who served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Pune, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police for Satara district.

Sandeep Ghughe has been removed from his position as Superintendent of Police in Sangli and has been assigned as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Security) in the state’s Intelligence Department located in Mumbai. Similarly, Yogesh Gupta, previously the Superintendent of Police in Kolhapur, has been promoted to the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Gadchiroli region.

Nilotpal has been transferred from the Superintendent of Police position in Gadchiroli to become the Superintendent of Police in Kolhapur. M. Ramesh, who previously served as the Additional Superintendent of Police in Gadchiroli, has been promoted to the Superintendent of Police in Gadchiroli.

Maheshwar Reddy has been transferred from the Superintendent of Police position in Jalgaon to the State Crime Investigation Department (CID) in Pune. Additionally, Shrikant Divre has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police in Jalgaon from Dhule. Rajkumar Shinde, who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Pune, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police in Washim district.

This decision by the government is seen as a significant step towards strengthening the administrative framework and enhancing law and order. Following these transfers, new changes in police administration can be expected in the respective districts.
