
Lucknow, June 13: Significant development initiatives are set to accelerate in the districts of Azamgarh and Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. A total of 358 development projects, with an investment exceeding ₹1,250 crores, will be inaugurated and laid out. In Azamgarh, 39 major projects worth over ₹955 crores will be launched, while Gorakhpur will see the commencement of 319 projects valued at over ₹295 crores.
During this event, certificates will also be distributed to beneficiaries of various government schemes. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asserted that these projects will not only enhance regional development but also improve public amenities, create opportunities, and positively impact the quality of life.
On Saturday, CM Yogi shared on the social media platform X, stating, “Today, the sacred land of Rishis and Munis, Azamgarh, and the holy land of Mahayogi Guru Shri Gorakhnath, Gorakhpur, will witness new resolutions for development, public trust, and welfare. The inauguration and foundation laying of 39 projects in Azamgarh and 319 projects in Gorakhpur, with a total investment of over ₹1,250 crores, will also include the distribution of certificates to beneficiaries of various schemes.”
He further added, “These projects will provide a new momentum to regional development and serve as a foundation for positive changes in public amenities, opportunities, and quality of life. Heartfelt congratulations to the residents of the region.”
Preparations for CM Yogi Adityanath’s proposed visit to Azamgarh have been nearly completed by the district administration and the police department. District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Anil Kumar have reported extensive arrangements at the Maharaja Suheldev University campus for the Chief Minister’s arrival.
