Mumbai, June 3: The Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra has released its list of candidates for the upcoming local self-government (Legislative Council) elections. This coalition, comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena, and the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party, has announced a total of 17 candidates.
The candidates include Dr. Rajiv Rao Potdar from Nagpur, Avinash Anandarav Brahmankar from Bhandara-Gondiya, Arun Hanumant Lakhani from Wardha-Chandrapur-Gadchiroli, Praveen Ramchandra Pote from Amravati, Rajendra Vitthal Rajwat from Solapur, Prajakta Prasadarav Tanpure from Ahmednagar, Nandkishor Bhagwat Mahajan from Jalgaon, and Dhairyashil Gyanadev Kadam from Sangli-Satara.
Additionally, the party has nominated Amarnath Antarav Rajurkar from Nanded, Basavaraj Madhavrao Patil from Osmanabad-Latur-Beed, Suhas Chandrakant Shirsat from Aurangabad-Jalna, Ravindra Sadanand Phatak from Thane, Dushyant Satish Chaturvedi from Yavatmal, Syed Gorgul Khan from Parbhani-Hingoli, Narendra Mikaji Darade from Nashik, Aniket Sunil Tatkare from Raigad-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg, and Vikram Sanjay Kakade from Pune.
Mahayuti has urged voters to prioritize its candidates during the elections on June 18 and to ensure their victory by casting their votes in large numbers. The candidate list is endorsed by BJP Maharashtra State President Ravindra Chavan, NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) State President Sunil Tatkare, and Shiv Sena Secretary Rahul Shewale.
Mahayuti leaders express confidence that all candidates will receive ample support and that the alliance will perform strongly in the Legislative Council elections. This election is seen as an opportunity for the ruling Mahayuti coalition to showcase its strength. Leaders assert they will gain public support on issues of development and stability.
With the announcement of candidates, election activity is intensifying across all parties. Mahayuti has also indicated that it is preparing strategies to bolster its candidates.
