
Mumbai, May 28: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met with Peter Ter Kulve, CEO of Magnum Ice Cream, in Mumbai. The discussion focused on investment opportunities, business expansion, and future collaborations in the state.
Fadnavis shared details of the meeting on the social media platform ‘X’, describing it as highly positive and significant.
The talks centered on establishing the headquarters for Magnum Ice Cream’s operations in the Middle East, Turkey, and South Asia in Mumbai. Additionally, they explored the company’s expansion plans in India, the development of a Global Capability Center (GCC), and other potential areas for collaboration.
Fadnavis emphasized that this initiative builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Maharashtra government and Magnum Ice Cream in 2025. He assured that the state government is fully committed to creating a favorable business environment for industries and investors.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is diligently implementing agreements aimed at fostering development and creating new employment opportunities in Maharashtra.
Attendees at the meeting included Toloy Taneridagli, President of Magnum Ice Cream for the Middle East, Turkey, and South Asia, Prashant Premrajka, CFO of Quality Walls (India) Limited, and Abhijit Bhattacharya, CFO of Magnum Ice Cream.
Magnum Ice Cream is a multinational company based in the Netherlands and is among the world’s largest ice cream manufacturers. Its headquarters is located in Amsterdam. Initially part of Unilever, it was later spun off as an independent public company.
The company operates in over 80 countries and is known for its extensive global cold chain network.
