Bhopal, April 22: Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel emphasized the need to address social and environmental challenges such as sanitation, education, water conservation, gender equality, primary health, and environmental protection. Speaking at the inauguration of the fifth “Samarth Bharat Conclave” at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, Patel stated that skill-based social entrepreneurship is the pathway to a developed India. He highlighted the importance of initiating thoughtful discussions on this topic. The conclave aims to serve as a platform for solutions to bridge the gap between education and employment.

Patel stressed that efforts should focus on finding solutions to social and environmental challenges through skill and social entrepreneurship. He noted the necessity of considering digital and technical skills, policy collaboration, and a balanced model of sustainable development to discover solid measures for economic progress alongside social harmony.

He called for coordinated and united efforts from government, corporate sectors, and non-profit organizations to promote entrepreneurship through innovative thinking and sustainable development. Patel encouraged participants to contemplate sensitive and practical innovations that address societal issues through skill-based social entrepreneurship. He mentioned that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, significant strides are being made towards a self-reliant, prosperous, empowered, and developed India. Initiatives like Skill India Mission, Start-up India, Stand-up India, Digital India, and Make in India have fostered a robust start-up ecosystem in the country.

Patel highlighted the importance of developing new and useful methods to meet societal needs, aiming for real improvement and prosperity in the lives of the poor and marginalized. He pointed out that nearly 65% of the population resides in rural areas, making it crucial to connect youth at the grassroots level. They must move beyond traditional thinking and become participants in economic transformation and inclusive development through new and creative initiatives. Understanding digital and technical skills, policy collaboration, and a balanced model of sustainable development is essential for achieving social harmony alongside economic growth.
