LG Electronics introduced its new AI-powered home robot, ‘CLOiD’, ahead of CES 2026. Designed to assist with domestic tasks, CLOiD represents a key part of LG’s ‘AI in Action’ vision aimed at enhancing everyday life.
The company showcased CLOiD for the first time at its annual pre-CES event in Las Vegas, themed ‘Innovation Tailored to You’. This robot is specially engineered to reduce physical and mental effort involved in household work.
CLOiD features five fingers on each hand, enabling it to perform various chores such as loading clothes into washing machines and fetching a glass of water, making daily routines easier for users.
LG stated that CLOiD goes beyond simple voice interaction; it has the capability to autonomously operate home appliances, navigate spaces, and coordinate services. This reflects LG’s customer-centric approach to artificial intelligence.
LG CEO Ryu Je-chol emphasized the company’s deep understanding of customer lifestyles as its greatest strength. He added that innovative solutions like CLOiD will transform the concept of future homes.
He also noted that AI applications will soon extend beyond homes to vehicles, offices, and commercial spaces, becoming an integral part of everyday life.
Alongside CLOiD, LG unveiled a new ultra-thin OLED TV resembling wallpaper when mounted on a wall, and a Signature Series smart refrigerator. The fridge uses AI to understand conversations and suggest recipes based on the food stored inside.
