Abu Hsar, August 28: Ramesh Bishnoi, cousin of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has raised questions regarding the allegations made against Lawrence by the FBI. He expressed complete faith in the Indian justice system and believes that whatever decision the court makes regarding Lawrence’s ongoing cases, the family will accept it.
Ramesh Bishnoi stated that their village is located in Tensionwadi, within the Fazilka district. He mentioned that the FIR related to the case being discussed has already been closed.
Challenging the accusations from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), he emphasized that this is not an Indian matter but pertains to another country. He questioned how a person in prison could be involved in extortion or threats, as such issues are tied to the law and order of the United States.
He also disputed claims that Lawrence is running a network from prison. Ramesh pointed out that Lawrence is held in a high-security facility monitored by jammers and CCTV cameras, making it difficult for family members to visit him. Therefore, he finds the allegations of operating a large-scale network from within the prison to be implausible.
Ramesh asserted that the Indian government is strong, and it is not easy to extradite someone based solely on the claims of another country. He noted that if the situation were as serious as portrayed in the media, there would have been a clear response from India’s Home Minister, Foreign Minister, or Prime Minister.
Regarding the questioning of India’s law and order, Ramesh stated that the current government is robust, and managing a full network from prison is not feasible. He also referenced the school shootings in the U.S., questioning the security measures in place there.
On the controversy involving Salman Khan, Ramesh mentioned that the Bishnoi community believes in non-violence and holds the law in high regard. He emphasized the importance of protecting trees, plants, and wildlife according to community rules. If Salman Khan were to visit the memorial of Guru Maharaj and seek forgiveness, the community might consider forgiving him.
However, Ramesh noted that no such initiative has been taken by Salman Khan so far. He stated that only Salman knows what he is thinking and what steps he intends to take regarding this matter.
