Bengaluru, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : HD Kumaraswamy, a leader of the Janata Dal (Secular) and a central minister, recently praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his approach to coalition politics as Modi marks 25 years of public service. Speaking in Bengaluru, Kumaraswamy highlighted that Modi has allowed NDA allies the freedom and space to contribute meaningfully.
He noted that Modi’s ability to build and maintain relationships with coalition partners is rooted in trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to the nation. Kumaraswamy emphasized that Modi does not view NDA allies merely as statistics. Instead, he listens to their concerns and collaborates with them as equal partners in national initiatives.
According to Kumaraswamy, Modi’s capacity to accommodate diverse perspectives while prioritizing national interests has been a significant strength of the NDA. He shared his personal experiences, stating that Modi has granted NDA partners the autonomy to act while providing guidance when necessary.
Kumaraswamy remarked that the mutual trust and sense of responsibility in Modi’s approach have been instrumental in maintaining a stable and effective political partnership within the NDA. He also reflected on Modi’s journey, noting that he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, serving for 13 years before becoming Prime Minister in 2014.
The central minister listed several key achievements during Modi’s tenure, including Digital India, the Jan Dhan scheme, GST implementation, Ayushman Bharat, infrastructure expansion, and the removal of Article 370. He pointed out that India’s global presence has strengthened under Modi’s leadership, and the national development agenda has become more ambitious.
As Modi celebrates his 25 years in public life, Kumaraswamy extended his best wishes, expressing hope that the coming years will further enhance India’s development journey.
