Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to Transfer ₹502 Crore for RTE Fee Reimbursement

Bhopal, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will initiate the transfer of ₹502 crore for the Right to Education (RTE) fee reimbursement on October 11, during an event in Narsinghpur district. This funding will benefit 20,456 private schools across the state, enabling over 819,000 students to access free education.

In addition to this transfer, Yadav will inaugurate a newly constructed building of the Government Sandipani Excellence School, which boasts modern facilities at a cost exceeding ₹45 crore.

The event will also see the presence of School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh, local representatives, and a large gathering of students and parents. The Sandipani School initiative is a significant step towards providing a better educational environment and modern amenities for students. The state government is committed to implementing the RTE Act effectively to ensure quality education for underprivileged children.

Under the RTE Act, the Madhya Pradesh government is facilitating free admissions for economically disadvantaged students from classes 1 to 8 in private schools. The reimbursement of fees is directly transferred to the respective schools, ensuring that eligible students receive free education. Since 2011, the government has disbursed ₹3,600 crore in fee reimbursements to over 1.68 million students, making quality education more accessible.

To enhance the quality of education, the government has constructed a state-of-the-art building for the Sandipani School in Narsinghpur as part of the first phase of the Sandipani School Scheme. This facility is designed to support the academic, intellectual, physical, and overall development of students from KG-1 to 12.

The school campus features well-equipped digital classrooms, computer labs, modern science laboratories, a rich library, a multipurpose hall, and an auditorium. Additionally, to promote physical activities and sports, the school provides playgrounds and safe transportation options. Positive outcomes from this modern educational environment are already evident, as demonstrated by student Mahi Sahu, who achieved a position on the merit list for class 12 in the academic session 2025-26, bringing honor to both the school and the region.
