Mumbai, May 9: Actress Kritika Kamra is renowned not only for her impressive performances but also for her unique style and fashion sense. Recently, she revealed that her favorite hairstyle is the classic ‘curtain bangs’ from the 60s and 70s.
In an interview, Kritika, known for her roles in web series like “Bambai Meri Jaan” and “Matka King,” expressed her admiration for the beauty aesthetics of that era. She stated, “I absolutely love the beauty aesthetic of the 60s and 70s. My favorite style is ‘curtain bangs.’ I sported this look for almost a year during the shooting of ‘Matka King.’”
Kritika further shared that she styled this hairstyle differently for another project. She emphasized that she does not adopt any hairstyle merely for trends. “I don’t think I would ever go for a full fringe or a style with hair all over my forehead, but I really like ‘curtain bangs,’” she said.
Discussing her inspirations, Kritika mentioned, “In terms of fashion, I have been greatly influenced by Farrah Fawcett and Parveen Babi. I wanted a similar fringe, and I finally got it. Maintaining this style and setting my hair has been enjoyable. It makes my look softer and more feminine. There’s something special about ‘curtain bangs’ that gives the face a romantic and charming appearance. That’s why I love this trend.”
Kritika recently shared that she enjoys dressing up and fashion, but not to impress others; rather, it’s about making herself feel good. Wearing nice clothes and presenting herself well positively impacts her entire day. It boosts her confidence and helps her feel more positive in her work.
Having studied fashion communication at a design school in New Delhi, Kritika believes she views the fashion world from a unique perspective. She is curious about the effort that goes into creating a garment, the process of developing specific textiles, and the hidden work behind designing. While she keeps herself updated with the latest trends in the fashion industry, she always chooses outfits that make her feel comfortable and confident.
