NDA Leaders Rally Behind Amit Shahs Critique of Congress Amid Election Commission Controversy

NDA leaders support Amit Shahs remarks on Congresss actions against the Election Commission, calling for accountability and unity.

New Delhi, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a sharp attack on Congress and Rahul Gandhi during a rally held by the Indian alliance at Ramleela Maidan in New Delhi. His comments have drawn unanimous support from leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Upendra Kushwaha, president of the National Democratic Front and a member of the Rajya Sabha, stated that Congress’s current stance is under scrutiny. He emphasized that the Election Commission’s position is clear, yet Congress continues to protest, which he believes undermines institutions and harms the nation. He asserted that while Congress has the right to protest, it should reflect seriously on the issues it chooses to address.

BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy echoed these sentiments, arguing that Congress lacks substantial issues to raise. He warned that challenging constitutional institutions would be seen by the public as creating chaos, further damaging Congress’s standing. Rudy stated that the atmosphere is increasingly turning against the party.

Daya Shankar Singh, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, accused Rahul Gandhi of attempting to weaken democracy and tarnishing India’s reputation by making disparaging remarks abroad. He praised Amit Shah for his effective handling of issues like Naxalism and expressed confidence in Shah’s new initiative to combat drug abuse.

In response to allegations of vote theft by the opposition, Manoj Kumar Pandey, another Uttar Pradesh minister, criticized Congress for previously benefiting from the Election Commission while now accusing it of bias. He pointed out that Congress celebrates victories in states like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Karnataka, and Kerala but shifts blame to the Election Commission when they lose.

Pandey stated that those who claim to uphold the Constitution are now disrespecting it. He urged the public to recognize that questioning elected officials, the Lok Sabha Speaker, Supreme Court judges, and the military is a betrayal of trust. He concluded by labeling these dissenters as “defeated individuals” and predicted that the public would respond decisively during the upcoming elections.
